New Delhi: The Indian IT sector has started to implement a comprehensive spam alert system.
A team of 30 experts has been working on the system in the last few months.
The team has been set up by the Indian Information Technology and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ITTRAC).
The email spam alerts are delivered by SMS to a user’s mobile number.
This is done through a unique identifier.
It helps the IT department detect and stop spam, which in turn leads to a reduction in spam numbers.
According to an official statement, the email spam alert scheme has been implemented at all levels of the Indian IT infrastructure.
For the first time, the government has issued a spam alert alert notice for spam on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp was the most common mobile messaging app in India in April 2018, according to the government.
