Service providers in China are offering a free SMS messaging service called “Singtel Voice” which allows you to send and receive text messages and photos without having to pay for voice calls.
The service is only available in China, but it’s available in the US, the UK, and Australia, and the service costs $9.99 per month.
Singtel Voice lets you send and retrieve text messages as well as photos and voice calls without needing a SIM card.
Singtel will allow customers to send SMS text messages with the same parameters as calls, including a length and a duration.
You can send and return SMS messages from a phone or tablet using your mobile device, so long as the number of recipients is the same as the amount of text messages.
Users can also set up multiple accounts, though they have to pay the same $99 fee.
The SMS service can be used for a number of purposes, including to send text messages to other users, make phone calls, and access a website, among other things.
It’s not clear whether the service will be available in other countries, but we’re expecting to hear more about it soon.
